The last lines of a lost inscription from Marruvium (CIL IX 3682) were so reconstructed by Mommsen: macellum et ar[cus] / in perpetuom ọ[rnatum] / municipio de[dit]. On the contrary, the author proposes macellum et ar[eam eius] / in perpetuum c̣[oncessa] / municipio de s[uo fecit]: Q. Fresidius Gallus would have accomplished a covered market and a market-place on his own property.
