This paper provides an insight into the ongoing doctoral thesis dealing with Roman municipal laws. After portraying structure and methdology of the thesis the author gives an account of already issued results: On one hand the examination of two fragments beloging to the municipal law of the roman colony Ratiaria, published in the ZPE 207 (2018) and secondly the contribution in the proceedings of the 12th annual meeting of Roman law students, dealing with the enigmatic lex Tabulae Heracleensis, published in December 2019.
